Pre-Drywall Inspection for New Construction
Once drywall goes up, the framing, wiring, plumbing and ductwork inside your walls are hidden for good. A pre-drywall inspection lets you see them, and fix problems, while they’re still easy to reach.
What I Look At
- Framing, including headers, connections and visible structural hardware
- Rough electrical wiring and box locations
- Rough plumbing supply and drain lines
- HVAC ductwork and venting
- Window and door installation and flashing where visible
- Signs of water damage or wet framing
Why It’s Worth It
Builders have their own inspections, but an independent inspector works only for you. Finding a problem at this stage usually means a quick fix by the trade on site, instead of opening finished walls later.
What You Get
A photo report within 24 hours, including pictures of what’s inside the walls, useful for future remodels.
When to Book
Ask your builder for the date after rough-in work is finished and before insulation and drywall go in. Call for pricing.
